Suggester says, "It captures the moment in a pretty profound way and I love how colour is quite literally splashed everywhere. It must have been a nuisance cleaning it all off, but the effect of it is breath-taking. The expression on the girl's face is adorable as well! "

Oh man I wish we would have a festival like that here, that looks like amazing fun, the kind of simple things to enjoy in life, and one of those memories you have forever. I wish I had a memory like that.

What does festival consist in? What do people do there?

Participants buy bags of multi-colored powder. Several times throughout the day, a temple worker will begin a countdown. As the count ends, festival-goers will throw the powder at anybody nearby. Breathing can become quite difficult at the peak of the color throwing.

So THIS is what they do at that festival. lol My sister described it to me, but it made no sense the way she said it. I was gonna go with her, but I couldn't 'cause I was busy. It looks like it would've been lots of fun, though. (:

I really like this shot <3 It makes me wanna check it out next year if I can.

the DD description makes me think... yeah the baths & street cleaning would require some serious scrubbing however the clothes... I think they would be nice souvenoirs... also that was brave of you bringing a nikon to that as packed as it is & messy... but it earned you a DD which I suppose makes it worth while... AWWsome shot (see what I did there) AWW cause it's cute the like girl all colorful & awesome cause it's so focased on her the heads around her are like tye dye easter eggs ;P I love it
